If you loved Servant Of The Blood like I did, then you will most likely LOVE this book!! Daughter Of Magic is the 2nd amazing book in this series by Zeece Lugo. Like Book 1, this book was previously published under another name. The author is republishing them and then adding a book 3! COUNT ME EXCITED!!

This book continues the journey seamlessly with the MFC, Main Female Character, Rose. As I said before, she is a woman in her mid 20s. Rose has a unique type of blood that gives vampires an extra kick and she has been identified and chosen to be a Companion for them. In Book 1 we followed her path of discovery. Book 2 follows her path of training.

Yet what happens when she meets an evil ancestor? What happens when she is kidnapped from the very convent supposed to train her and keep her safe? What happens when she is whisked away to where no one can reach her?

In this book Rose meets Diago and learns exactly who he is and how he has been instrumental in not only her life yet all of her ancestors lives as well. What she discovers shatters her thoughts of what was and she will never be the same.

Along Rose’s journey in this second book we also get to revisit her three Vampire Protectors as they, along with the entire coven and the witches as well, try to save Rose from her capture. WAIT, WAIT, WAIT! Vampires and Witches working TOGETHER??? Really? Yup! In this wonderful book we see how they work together for a common goal. Save Rose.

THIS is Book 2! Rose’s journey and her subsequent capture is not easy. It is hard for her to live through and hard for us to read. It will boggle your mind, and keep you on the edge of your seat, as the pieces of the puzzle fall together. For me at times it was difficult to follow as it jumped quickly scene to scene with a lot going on. However, I still LOVED it.

Yet be forewarned that while it ends nicely it is nowhere near done! There will be a Book 3!! I for one can NOT wait for the next book.
