What would you do if you had just five days to fix a crumbling old cathedral whose magic was fading? What would you do if you were also alone having been dumped via phone by your boyfriend and were also grieving the loss of your recently deceased uncle?
Would you stay knowing that you might have the skills to save the place? Or would you sell the old cathedral, pocket the money and start a new life? The life that you had always dreamed of?
This is the quandary that Holly Shepherd faces.
Yet that is not all! Holly is instantly intrigued by the very tall, very handsome stone gargoyle set in the cathedral to guard the place. She is also almost 99% sure it moves when she is not looking.
Would you stay now?
Holly has just five days to save the cathedral and Caelum as well. Caelum is intrinsically connected to Saint Celestine’s and as the time races on Holly realizes that there is more to him than just stone. He starts to mean more to her than just being a magical being. However he is linked to the cathedral in ways she never even imagined possible.
Can she save Saint Celestines and keep Caelum safe? Can she trust Liora, a government magical worker, to help her? And exactly how long has that snake Conrad from Obsidian been trying to buy the cathedral? Most importantly, if she does save Saint Celestine’s with Liora’s help, can she also save Caelum? Is it even possible to expect a future with a gargoyle?
READ this cute, sweet and magical holiday novella when it comes out October 27th!
I am giving it 4 stars as the spice is lackluster, and in my opinion, the story may have even been better without that scene. Yet the build up towards the climax and the ending of the book is AMAZING and will make you swoon in delight!
I received a free copy of this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
